Superintendent, principal, teacher, student and stakeholders at Project Bike Tech Ribbon Cutting

University High School celebrated its new Bike Tech classroom and curriculum at the Project Bike Tech ribbon cutting on September 27.  This innovative program uses bicycles and bicycle mechanics to teach core and STEM academics, along with technical and mechanical skills, to prepare students to enter the workforce and introduce them to small business operations. 🎮 Dr. Campbell and BOE Member Nancy Walker visit the MCS’ E-Sports booth at the 2022 WV Education Summit in Charleston. At the Student Expo, Program Teacher Brigitte Barlow, EdTech Leader Summer Cochran and E-Sports students demonstrate the program, which is housed on the MTEC campus. E-gaming is expected to grow within all MCS’ schools as more students become aware of how gaming skillsets can translate into highly skilled career options.
